COVER REVEAL for Soaring (a short story) by K.K. Allen
I'm happy to announce that my short story, Soaring, will be available for free download and print purchase very soon! Originally part of the Echoes of Winter anthology, it's being re-released for multiple reasons:
#1 - You asked, and you shall receive ;)
#2 - I desperately wanted print copies for giveaways
#3 - It needed a cover!
#4 - As much as I love my anthology sisters (and brother), my story was toward the end of the compilation which makes it hard for people to get to, and this story is begging to be read
#5 - Every story, short or long, deserves to shine
Have you read Soaring?
Download a free copy of the new version anyway! Every download counts toward helping me find new readers.
Haven't read Soaring yet?
Here's a description for you:
On an Alaskan cruise in the dead of winter, Emma and Luke find each other under the aurora borealis, a phenomenon that bonds them in the most unlikely of ways. While Luke teaches Emma what it means to soar, she gives him a reason to stay grounded, but as their journey nears its end memories of a forgotten past surfaces, challenging their future—if a future for them still exists.

NEW BOOK NEWS! An Emotionally Beautiful & Edgy Romance
I am so excited to announce the release of my new book, coming to you late Spring / early Summer. It's almost ready! It's been a busy few weeks for me as I wrapped up my final edits. Today I sent it off to my editor and some Beta readers—all of which I adore to pieces for enjoying my work enough to want to read the crappy versions ;)
I've always wanted to publish a Contemporary Romance story, but this one is a little edgier than I imagined myself writing. What can I say? I love creating intense characters. UP IN THE TREEHOUSE is a beautiful love story that begins with a childhood friendship that becomes complicated over the years leaving disaster and heartache in its wake. Walking away may be their only option at the time, but four years later they are forced to come to terms with all that has transpired. This story is about deep connections, secrets, hard choices, love, art and passion.
"Sometimes the tornadoes of life vacuum us up and chuck us onto unfamiliar ground. We can work toward building a sturdier foundation or let the dirt settle over us in defeat." - K.K. Allen, Up in the Treehouse
I'll be ramping up the teasers and setting up cover reveals, launch date reveals, and so on. Definitely stay tuned, and if you haven't signed up for my mail list, do that too!
