Best New Adult Romance of the Year (RT Book Reviews)

Have y'all heard?! Up in the Treehouse WON best new adult romance book of the year! I was able to give special thanks to those who helped bring this novel to life and support me every step of the journey. It's an incredible honor to receive an award like this. One of the biggest insecurities I had starting this writing journey (and why it took me so long to publish) was that I wasn't a good enough writer! If me winning this award tells you anything, it's that passion, hard work, and perseverance win out over all the noise. You just have to keep working on your craft and beating yourself ... not others.

It's funny, because at the core, Up in the Treehouse is a story about learning how to be confident enough in yourself to stand up against the shade others throw. The truth is, bullying doesn't stop at grade school, or junior high. Bullying is present in the workplace, among peers, and in families. It's unfortunate, to say the least. The more we support each other, the more we defeat the power of our bullies, and the better and stronger we are for it. Because when you lift others up, you're lifting yourself too. 

Anyway, this story means a lot to me, for so many reasons, and I'm truly blessed to have had this opportunity to say "thank you" to the readers, my beta team, my editor, my cover designer, my supportive friends and family, and the readers! #DreamsDoComeTrue
